3. Gather Items: Have your child select a few small items to include in the capsule. This could be favourite small toys, photos, a drawing, today's newspaper clipping or anything else that is representative of this time in their life.
4. Securely Pack Your Time Capsule: Now that you have all your items, pack them into your time capsule container. Try to arrange them so that the most durable items are at the ends and the fragile items are safely ensconced in the middle.
5. Seal and Decorate Your Time Capsule: Once you have everything inside, seal up your time capsule. Make sure it’s secured so that no dirt can get in when it’s buried. Then, decorate the outside of the time capsule with markers and paints.
6. Bury Your Time Capsule: The final step is to bury your time capsule in a safe place where it won’t be disturbed. Make sure to mark the location in some way so you don’t forget where it is.
