On the outside of the container, use a permanent marker to write the current date and when to open the time capsule. Also, write the names of those who contributed to it.

Choose a spot in your yard and dig a hole deep enough to bury the time capsule. Then, place it in, cover it up, and mark the spot so you remember where it is.
